NBA Trades

No one is safe in the NBA, especially with rumors and trades that have been discussed. The NBA trade deadline was moved up a couple weeks this season to ensure it doesn’t interfere with All-Star Weekend. The Boston Celtics will sign Greg Monroe to a one-year deal worth $5 million. The Phoenix Suns bought out Monroe earlier this week and decided to join the Boston Celtics instead of the New Orleans Pelicans. The New Orleans Pelicans and Chicago Bulls completed a trade with the Chicago Bulls by sending Nikola Mirotic to the Pelicans for Omer Asik, Tony Allen, and Jameer Nelson, as well as New Orleans’ 2018 first-round pick. The Clippers and Pistons have agreed on a deal to trade Blake Griffin for Tobias Harris, Avery Bradley, Boban Marjanovic, a first-round and a second-round draft pick. The trade of Blake Griffin shocked many people as well as players in the NBA because many people thought Blake Griffin was the main man on the Los Angeles Clippers. Blake Griffin was also shocked because he found about the trade through Twitter, stead of being informed by the team. Still, there are many players left on the market and available for trade. These players include Lou Williams, Tyreke Evans, Deandre Jordan, and other players.
